Wamara - Wamara or Guyana Rosewood

Grown in South America, Wamara or Guyana Rosewood is a very dense wood like a typical Rosewood with deep purple heart wood and pale yellow sapwood. Some boards have wonderful banding where the heart and sap meet creating two color moziacs.

 Its density makes it hard on tools but the beautiful colors and sheen it takes finishing makes it very worthwhile. No finishing difficulties as it is not an oily wood.
